one week appointment

My first trip out and about..
The nurse demanded I get naked which means I got cold. I weighed 6lbs 2 oz. Yes it is normal to lose weight after birth but as of next week I will start to bulk up. Everything looks good. Even my hiccups are normal. I still have some lab work to do today and tommorow but other than that I am free and clear until my 1 month appointment.

Life so far

tough life.. The nurses ohh and ahh over me, I get poked with needles and learn to breastfeed. I also get my own first medical sugury and meet my doctor. I tend to keep mom and dad up as I require losts of extra love and attention.

The road to escape has come to an end..

So after several weeks of giving mommy trouble (extra doctor visits and trips to the hospital) I am finally allowed to escape a few weeks early.

It all started on Friday with a non stress test/ doctors visit. I was active but mommy's blood pressure was still too high. So mommy and daddy packed up and head to the hospital with the idea this was the time. (per doctors orders of course)
We arrive, we get checked in and they monitor both mom and me. Mom takes a pill the the contractions begin later that night. Of course the contactions continue thur the night but the doctor was nice and gave mom a sleeping pill. The next day is lots of waiting, contractons and more waiting. And then about 130? 230? in the afternoon mom's water breaks. The nurse doesn't believe mom, but trust me, mom knew. The continue to check and mom is at 2cm and her blood pressure is still to high. So needless to say after everything the doctor feels it is best to get me out sooner rather that later. We head off for a c-section at 445 and after prep and everything I arrive into this world at 508pm on 5/19.

I am so excited, and I just can't hide it.. For the most part my movements and kicks have been pure enjoyment for mom. Last night we played move the remote on mommys tummy while daddy chatted away on the computer.. Daddy also visually saw my movements rather than just felt them for the first time.. ~beams~ While Mommy is at work doing file audits I proceed to rake my arm across the bottom of her tummy, in the same way a prisoner rakes a cup across bars.. I am sooo ready to escape. Next week is a big week. Mommy and Daddy are going to Oregon for a day. We have another ultra sound and I will be 34 weeks.. Yeah I know, soooo close..

Ugh.. Mommy shouldn't stay out until the wee hours of the morning.. It makes for a troublesome doctors appointment the next day.. Now mommy has to go back before norwescon. She has gained more weight and her blood pressure was a bit high. I blame the lack of sleep and need for carbonated beverages to relieve her heartburn. Needless to say this next week mommy will be staying away from salt and hopefully stress.

In other news I can push mommy's tummy out an inch or two and she has new super boob powers.. ~giggles~ you will have to ask daddy about that last one..

I am ready to show you my manhood.. ~giggles~ According to the doctor I am in the 77th precentile and 3lbs 14 oz. It looks like I will be long like daddy. It also looks like I am super flexable.. Today after mommy got home I delivered the biggest kicks yet.. I actually raised mommy's hand up up and away.. ~smiles~ She even got daddy to feel.

Mommy is totally looking prego. She is offten telling Daddy that I am HIS son. I don't know whatever for, all I do is kick her and move all day long. I am about 3lbs now. I am still due June 4th but the doctor thinks we could induce me as early as May 15th. Mommy was hoping a bit sooner. Anyways off to grow some more.

I am a boy

For those who haven't heard I am male.. Or at least that is what the doctor has been telling mommy and daddy.. Last friday I started to kick mom in other places than her back.. Apparently I shouldn't do that because she ended up in the hospital not knowing it was just me. Mommy is five months tommorow. Daddy is getting very excited now and I am kicking up a storm most of the time. I like to play hide and seek from the doctors when they try to hear my heart beat. I also like to keep mommy awake at night. Mommy now likes to drank coffee.. mmmm and up until recently was going thur a bottle of green tabassco sauce every other day.. Now we are on a water kick. mmmm ice cold water. Lyss gave me and mommy a really cool swing and some clothes. Auntie Jen and Christoph gave me some really great toys for christmas.. They also included some books for mommy and daddy. Mommy still wants a copy of belly laughs. Maybe dad will get it for her birthday next month. Okay time to rest.. Or at least that is what I will mommy think.. ~evil grin~

Sebastian (if I really am a boy)

Mommy Zombie (10 weeks)

Mommy I am sorry you are having trouble sleeping. I am sorry your boobs are getting bigger.

I hear tonight that you dreamed about me. You dreamed that I was born a boy. You dreamed about breatfeeding me and then me not needing you anymore. Kinda like I came out ready to take on the world and whole foods. Somehow I do not think it will be like that. I will need you and daddy very much. ~hugs from the inside~ Love BabyClark

Mommy and daddy went hiking and camping.. I was just along for the ride. I heard them talking about taking me someday (when I have escaped the womb).. They also talked about names.. Madelynn if I am a girl, and Sabastian if I am a boy. Middle names are still up in the air.. Mommy likes Allen for a boy.

mommy entry

Mommy just found out about me a week ago.. How did she find out? She was having lunch with auntie Kris at work when she realized she was late.. Mommy went and bought a pregnancy test and took it the next morning (sept 25th 2007).. It was very positive.. I wanted to make sure she knew I was here to stay. Daddy was still sleeping but that didn't stop mommy from telling him.. Mommy also told auntie Kris and made a doctors appointment. Daddy wanted a second opinion. Mommy also called Grandpa Adams at work and told him.. (he cried)

Mommy got home before the appointment and saw my love note on the counter again. It made her cry for joy.. ~beams~ At the doctors they drew blood and told mommy to call back the next day for the results. They were confident in the first test and told mommy to expect me around May 28th. As soon as Mommy left the office she proceeded to tell a bunch of people the good news.

Later that night Mommy and Dad when to see Oma and Opa Clark. The plan was to show them the new car. Little did they know I was going to be announced too.. Mommy bought a new card to share the news. She first handed it to Opa who commented how interesting, who then handed it to oma. She jumped up and hugged mommy, Opa gave mommy a kiss on the cheek.

So far I haven't made mommy sick or anything.. But her breast are sore and she is cramping.. But don't worry mommy that is just your body getting ready for the long haul.
